Baseball All Stars
MSA provides the opportunity for skilled players to participate in local and/or regional All–Star Tournaments following the end of the Spring regular baseball season. MSA tries to field teams at all age group levels starting with TBall if there is enough coach and player participation. All Star teams participate in tournaments comprised of other All–Star teams from associations throughout the Jacksonville area and are played starting in mid-May through mid-July.
MSA All-Star Teams are competitive and require a level of play higher than the regular recreation league. In addition, All-Star participation requires a substantial time commitment and can include significant additional costs to each player’s family. Fundraising and sponsorships are encouraged to help offset those costs.
All-Star players are selected by the division coaches on a try out basis. Players must have played in at least half of the Spring season recreation games. Each player will be scored in the evaluation based on a series of appropriate drills to each age division. Try outs are typically held in mid to late April with practices starting in late April to early May. Specific dates and times for the try outs are announced a few weeks before. Please contact the age Division Director if you have any additional questions.
