MSA/Play it Again Sports Homerun Derby

**Please note that the Homerun Derby is FRIDAY NIGHT and the Carnival is SATURDAY.

This year the carnival starts out with the First Annual MSA/Play it Again Sports Homerun Derby on FRIDAY night, April 25th at Alberts Field.

All ages are welcome. From T-ballers to adults. Play it Again Sports will be on site at Alberts Field, Friday – April 25th at 6:30 to host the derby. Baseballs will be provided by Play it Again Sports. They will also provide demo bats and have a booth set up with select items for sale.

Age groups include: BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL
6 and under
8 and under
10 and under
12 and under
14 and under
Adults

Each youth age group winner will receive a $40 Play it Again Sports gift card.
Trophies for the Runner Ups.
The adult winner will get bragging rights and a trophy.

Entry fee will be $5 for 5 swings (maybe 10 depending on age). All money collected for the derby will stay at MSA.

Our Mission

MSA is an organization composed of children, parents, coaches, sponsors and spectators. Our goals are to promote the development of athletic skills through the teaching of fundamentals, while emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship in all activities. While we actively support the development of individual skills and goals, we stress the overarching importance of teamwork during play.

All MSA activities take place, first and foremost, for the benefit of children. Our programs and policies are geared toward developing athletic skills and sportsmanship in children. Our coaches are selected based on their ability to impart these skills and attitudes to the children, and are expected to lead by example. Finally, we anticipate the active involvement of parents in MSA activities on behalf of their children. Parental attitudes and behaviors greatly influence those of their children, and their involvement can provide the ultimate positive example.

MSA hopes that this serves as a clear statement of the principles we feel are embodied in MSA activities. We also trust that all adults involved with MSA will conduct themselves in accordance with these principles, for the benefit of our children.

Sponsorship InformationMSA is actively seeking corporate donations/sponsors to fund various projects around the complex. These projects include field renovation and maintenance, major equipment purchases, batting cage maintenance and repair, just to name a few.  Please share this information with your parents as they may own a business or work for someone who would be interested.

MSA Board MeetingsBoard meetings are held the second Sunday of each Month.

All are welcomed/encouraged to attend and view how/why your park decisions are made. All people serving on the board are volunteers.

Game ResultsCoaches please click here to report game results. We would like to keep our website up to date with current standings and individual game results. Please help by reporting your game results after each game.
