Welcome to the Mandarin Sports Association ("MSA")
MSA has been in existence since 1975 and was originally created to serve the Mandarin area of Jacksonville by providing the opportunity to bring youth together to play team sports. The City of Jacksonville provides the Alberts Field complex and Flynn Field for this purpose. However, parents, sponsors and local citizens supply the remaining needs.
In order for the operations of MSA to continue to provide services to the youth of Mandarin, PARTICIPATION is essential.
· COACHES and ASSISTANT COACHES are needed to teach the rules of the game, good sportsmanship and to provide guidance for the players.
· TEAM MANAGERS assist the coaches in many ways and are the communications link to the teams' parents and players for Association activities and fund raising events.
· THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS and OFFICERS provide guidance to MSA by applying the rules and regulations as stated by our by-laws, and the administration necessary for the operation of our Association.
· SPONSORS provide the much needed community support, and supplement revenues received from registration and fund raising events for capital and operational expenditures.
· PARENTS play the most important role by allowing their children to participate, supporting their children, the team and the coaches with their attendance and personal involvement in MSA.
All positions described above are strictly VOLUNTEER and it is that volunteer spirit that makes MSA what it is now and what it will become. Your involvement and ideas are essential and your input and/or feedback to improve or strengthen the efforts and accomplishments of M.S.A. is welcomed! Please contact your COACH, TEAM MANAGER, or any OFFICER OR MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS with your input! We're here for you and your children!
